Illustration with a design for a female "Pagoda" dress, part of the 65th issue of the "Journal des dames et des modes", published in Paris on March 10, 1914. The illustration features a woman wearing a layered dress in the form of a pagoda, the layers colored with different shades of blue to produce a degrade effect, over a white, semi-transparent blouse, white, mid-calf trousers under a knee-length, golden skirt with pink Japanese geometric designs and black-and-white figures of Japanese women wearing Kimonos. The woman wears a large, black feathers hat, also simulating the shape of a pagoda, and several long, beaded necklaces in different shades of gold, brown and yellow hang from her neck. She holds a round, gold fan in one hand, and wears a gold bangle around her other wrist; her fingernails are colored with pink. She wears pink stockings and gold, pointed shoes.
