The poster announces the first convention of the Friends of the USSR, held in Mexico City June 22–25, 1941, amid World War II. A Soviet solider strapped with grenades and holding a rifle offers his hand in friendship and gratitude for international help. The caption "We fight on the same front / United we will win" reflect his thoughts and co-opts the viewer. The event’s entry fee of 50 centavos went to help to buy medicine for Soviet people.



El cartel anuncia la primera convención de Amigos de la URSS, celebrada en Ciudad de México entre el 22 y el 25 de junio de 1941, en plena Segunda Guerra Mundial. Un soldado soviético con granadas en el correaje y armado con un rifle tiende la mano en un gesto de amistad y gratitud por la ayuda internacional. El título «Luchamos en el mismo frente. ¡Unidos venceremos!» refleja sus pensamientos e interpela al lector. Los cincuenta centavos que costaba la entrada al acto se destinarían a comprar medicinas para el pueblo soviético.
